Why us

We actually play

Nobody writes a word until they've spent real hours in the game. Tips come from getting stuck, not from a wiki.

No paid rankings

Ratings reflect how we felt playing. Money never buys a higher score or a nicer paragraph.

Updated when things change

Mobile games patch constantly. We revisit guides when an update breaks or improves something.

Ember Vanguard

Ember Vanguard

★★★★★ 4.6

Ember Vanguard surprised me. I braced for another tap-to-win RPG, but the combat actually asks you to think. You control a party of four, each with a position on a grid, and enemies punish lazy formations. Stacking a fire debuff before a wind attack does noticeable extra damage, and figuring out these chains is where the fun lives.

  • Grid positioning that rewards planning
  • Elemental combos that feel clever to pull off
  • Generous progression without grind walls

Questions & answers

How do you decide which games to cover?

Mostly it's what people around us are actually installing, plus a few we discover browsing the store. We lean toward games that are fun to explain and have enough depth to warrant a guide. If a game has nothing useful to say about it, we skip it.

Do developers pay you to write reviews?

No. Nobody pays for a review, a rating, or a nicer paragraph. Every score reflects how we honestly felt after playing, and we'd rather stay small than sell that. For example, our Big Bass Drop guide came out of one of us getting hooked on it, not a request.

Can I suggest a game for you to review?

Absolutely, we love suggestions. Send us the game name and why you like it through the contact email. We can't promise to cover everything, but every suggestion gets read and the good ones go on our list.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run basic, non-intrusive ads to help cover hosting, and they're clearly separate from our editorial content. Ads never influence what we cover or how we rate it. If that ever changes, we'll say so plainly.
