Why you keep losing in Iron Tide Command

June 17, 2026 · Lukas Brenner

If you're bouncing off Iron Tide Command, I'd bet money your logistics are collapsing before your battles do. New players fixate on unit strength and completely ignore the supply system, which is the actual heart of the game.

Every unit draws from your supply network, and cutting an enemy's lines is far more effective than attacking their strongest force head-on. Early missions want you to learn this by feel, which is why they're brutal until it clicks.

My rule of thumb: never advance past a supply node you haven't secured. It's tempting to charge forward, but an overextended army with no supplies melts. Slow, secured advances win maps here.

Also, use the slow-down feature shamelessly. The game plays in real time but there's no shame in pausing to reassess. Some of my best comebacks came from stopping, spotting an exposed enemy supply route, and redirecting a small force to choke it.
